BIO
(b. 1979, Bangkok, Thailand) After graduating from the Department of Visual Arts, Bangkok University, in 2002, Yuree Kensaku’s works were presented in several solo and group exhibitions, including 108 Paths to Vanity, It’s spiritually good, Sweet with Mr.Fan, Shortcut to Melancholy Hill, and recently Karma Police at 100 Tonson Gallery, Bangkok (2004/2005/2009/2011, 2013); One On Other, a workshop and exhibition at About Studio/ About Cafe, Bangkok (2005), the artist in residence solo show TheAdventure of Momotaro Girl at the Yokohama Museum of Art, Yokohama, Japan ( 2007) , Same Place While The Clock's Hands Pace, featuring new works, at Gallery Ver, an artist-run space, in Bangkok, Thailand, by invitation of founder and director Rirkrit Tiravanija (2008). In 2009, Kensaku held 3 solo exhibitions locally and internationally,in Bejing, Taipei, and Bangkok. Kensaku was one of 10 artists selected to participate in the Kuandu Biennale 2010, Taipei. She also created large murals in “FOR,” a wall painting showcase by Thai graphic designers and artists, at Bangkok Art and Culture Center, Bangkok, ( 2007/2010) and BUKRUK street art festival the Thai-Europe connection, at Ratchathewi Area, Bangkok ( 2013), etc.
