(b. 1961, Asola, Mantua, Italy). Arienti’s artwork is associated with the Arte Povera (poor art) Movement. His work is produced through the transformation of found images and materials, often using a systematic, repetitive action. The work brings a poeticism and renewed energy to discarded, common materials and questions the process and perception of making art. Arienti’s delicacy and attention to detail as well as his ability to breathe life into ordinary printed material have earned him praise and recognition in the art world. He lives and works in Milan, Italy.
