ANDREW MILLER
BIO
(b.1969, Dartington, England) The core of Andrew Miller’s practice is focused on an investigation into the function and non-function of objects and place. The work attempts to instigate a curiosity in, and affection for, the discarded, worn and redundant, through appropriation and reframing. To look and to look again; to salvage, assemble and re-present a familiar resonance in, what might become a readable set of vernacular terms and conditions. At times this work has ranged from gallery based work using photography, wall drawing, and sculpture to site-specific installations, architectural collaborations and large scale commissioned art work. He currently lives and works in Glasgow..
